Start with flowers.
Celebrate a birthday, say thank you, honor a memory, or simply remind someone that they matter.
A beautifully personal poem, inspired by three simple words, written by a real poet and typed on a vintage typewriter. A second surprise that outlives the bouquet.
The flowers arrive first, bringing joy to the day. Later, an original poem arrives as a second expression of the thoughts that inspired the gift.
Celebrate a birthday, say thank you, honor a memory, or simply remind someone that they matter.
Choose three words and share a little context. A real poet takes those details as the inspiration for something new.
Your individually written, physically typewritten poem is mailed separately as a tangible keepsake.
A real poet carefully brings your words to life, letter by letter, on a vintage typewriter. Every finished piece bears the quiet individuality of something made by hand.
A small piece of paper.
A feeling that lasts.
The artwork above is an illustration, not a finished customer poem. Actual poem photography will be added to the finished website.
The original typewritten poem is beautiful on its own. For an even richer keepsake, hear it in the poet's voice, watch it being typed, or preserve both moments.
Explore optional experiences. Choose one to see how your gift changes.
Choose your experience now. Secure checkout is coming next. Digital recordings will feature the actual human poet, never an artificial voice or simulated footage.
Three words can hold a lifetime of memories, laughter, love, or longing. Begin with yours and discover what the personalizing experience might feel like.
The words below are examples. Replace them with your own, or try a suggestion.
Your words are ready for the next step. Nothing has been purchased or sent to Click & Clatter. This draft will carry privately into the mailing details page in this browser tab.
We believe some gifts should carry the unmistakable presence of the person who created them. Every Click & Clatter poem is imagined, composed, and physically typed by a real poet. We do not use AI to write, rewrite, narrate, or simulate the creation of your poetry.
The texture of the paper, the sound of the typewriter, the individuality of each writer: these are not imperfections to edit away. They are part of the experience.
No automated poem-writing.
No synthetic poet readings.
No staged or simulated typing videos.
Because a gift this personal deserves clear expectations.
No. The poem is created individually and mailed separately, turning your gift into a second thoughtful surprise. Delivery estimates will be clearly stated when ordering opens.
Never. Every original poem is written and physically typed by a real person. Optional spoken readings and typing videos feature that actual poet.
Anything meaningful to you. They might be places, feelings, memories, names, or seemingly unrelated ideas. Your poet uses them as creative inspiration.
Depending on your selection, you receive a digital recording of the poet reading your finished work, video footage of its actual creation, or both. Details and digital delivery methods will be confirmed when orders launch.
That's the vision. Poetry in Bloom is inspired by the sentiment behind flowers, but a heartfelt poem can be a meaningful gift all on its own.
Not yet. You can move from the three-word experience to the mailing details page to preview your order, but checkout and fulfillment are not activated. Your draft remains in this browser tab and is not transmitted.
Something heartfelt is taking shape. Explore the beginnings of your own one-of-a-kind gift.

We're developing a community of typewriter poets to help bring original, handmade poetry into homes across America. If you write from the heart and love the distinctive character of vintage typewriters, we'd love to hear about your work.
Poet interest list in developmentEach assignment begins with a customer's three words and personal context. You write the original poem, type it on your own vintage machine, and mail the finished keepsake using supplied materials.
Write something original and personal. The poem is made by you, with no AI-generated composition or rewriting.
Physically type the completed poem. Optional spoken readings and filming opportunities can be offered by qualified poets who enjoy those formats.
Follow clear quality and dispatch standards, then mail directly to the customer or recipient. Production schedules are defined before accepting assignments.
We're proposing a complimentary starter kit for five introductory paid assignments, with a couple of extra sheets and envelopes to allow for mistakes. Artists provide their own working typewriter and ribbon.
Packaging and USPS postage requirements will be confirmed before kits are issued.
Per accepted poem, first five assignments
Per accepted poem starting with assignment six
Extra compensation is proposed for optional recordings of the poet's own spoken reading and the actual typing process. Final terms will be shared before any assignments are accepted.
We're not claiming to have an active nationwide assignment queue yet. This is the beginning of a thoughtfully selected creative network, and we'd like to learn about writers interested in joining as the program develops.
This prototype does not send submissions or store applications. You can prepare and copy your introduction, then connect through @clickandclatter on Instagram.
